Our Cats’ Health, Genetic Testing and HCM Screening

In our cattery, we take a responsible approach to the health of all our queens and males. All of our breeding cats undergo genetic testing to confirm their health and to ensure they are free from hereditary diseases.

In addition to genetic testing, we also carry out regular HCM screenings, which are heart examinations essential for the prevention of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that can affect some cats. Each of our breeding cats undergoes these examinations on a regular basis to ensure that their heart remains healthy.

How We Select New Owners for Our Kittens

If you are interested in one of our kittens, we would be happy to receive a few details about your expectations and the environment you can offer. Please tell us what kind of temperament you are looking for, whether you live in an apartment or a house, and if you already have any other pets. We would also love to know what personality traits you hope for in your future companion.

Do You Also Sell Kittens for Breeding Programs?

Each kitten is carefully evaluated, and not all of them are suitable for breeding. We select for breeding only those individuals who meet our standards for type, health, temperament, and overall quality for future development of the breed.

My goal is not simply to sell kittens for breeding, but to responsibly select partnerships that make sense both for the kitten and for the future breeding plans.

Why Are the Stud Males Housed in Aviaries?

Unfortunately, breeding males cannot live inside the house with us, as they would mate uncontrollably with the females and their presence would cause constant calling. In addition, breeding males have a natural instinct to mark their territory, which would result in spraying within the home environment.

To ensure their well being, health, and the comfort of the entire household, we have chosen to house our males in spacious outdoor enclosures that provide them with plenty of room to move and express their natural behavior.

In these enclosures, they have everything they need for a happy life, including scratching posts, climbing trees, exercise wheels, and other forms of enrichment that support both their physical and mental well being.

The enclosure also provides access to an indoor area equipped with a heating panel, ensuring they remain comfortably warm even during the winter months.

In this way, our males can live in a natural and healthy environment that respects their needs while also preserving the quality of life for the cats living in the home.
